This month's tips are about the quality of a piece of work.

• Does it look good?  Yes?  Fine!
• But as important: does it feel good?  I ask this because there should be no sharp edges to scratch or cut the prospective owner.  With earrings, the wires have to be completely smooth otherwise nobody will buy them.  Check the wires to find if there are any barbs that would make it painful to insert in your earlobe.  Re-finish if you find any areas that scratch you.
• Remember - every piece should be SPECIAL in some way, otherwise why would anyone want to buy it?
• So remember - near enough is NOT good enough.  If it isn't right, correct the minor fault or even re-do the last few stages.
• The process will be worth it in two ways: 1) you get to refine your skills, and 2) the piece of work is better for the extra effort.  Or else bin it.
